Megan Jurecka

Bachelor of Psychology, Master of Professional Psychology Practice, MAPS

Hello, my name is Megan (she/her). I am a Psychologist and I help people overcome trauma and improve their wellbeing and relationships.

The majority of my practice focuses on:

  • trauma

  • attachment insecurity

  • existential issues

  • personal values

My clients often come to therapy feeling stressed and exhausted, but after working together, they typically feel calm, resilient and more in touch with themselves.

About my work

Trauma and Connection

I am passionate about helping people flourish in a post-traumatic growth, therefore work with people experiencing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), attachment issues, and relationship challenges.

Existential Issues

I am interested in helping people work through struggles that are an unavoidable part of the human experience, such as: grief, choice, anxiety, isolation, identity issues, meaning or purpose, and stress relating to life-stage.

My work is informed by interpersonal neurobiology (which combines attachment theory, polyvagal theory and mindfulness principles). I work with an existential lens and I am trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neuro-affirming.
