Hello, my name is Almaas (she/her). I am a Psychologist and I help LGBTIQA+ and CALD people cope with their distress and better understand their relationships with themselves and others.
The majority of my practice focuses on:
-
eating disorders
-
complex family dynamics and attachment
-
identity
My clients often come to therapy feeling disillusioned and stressed, but after working together, they typically feel more connected with their self and better able to demonstrate resilience.
More about my work
I work collaboratively, and with a person centered approach. I am transdiagnostic and intersectional in my formulation and treatment planning and this is a reflection of my personal values in how I see the distress faced by my clients.
I am trauma-informed, gender- and neuro-affirming, and take into account the cultural and linguistic variation of my clients. These are then incorporated to take a strengths based approach to their time in therapy with myself.
