Stress & Burnout Treatment FAQs

We're here to answer any questions you have about stress and burnout therapy

If you have a question that is not answered below, shoot us an email

01

How do you know if you're burnt out?

Burnout isn't just feeling tired. It's a mix of exhaustion, numbness, and detachment that leaves you emotionally drained, mentally foggy, and at risk of other mental health challenges like anxiety and depression. It's human to feel overwhelmed and stressed occasionally, but when stress sticks around for too long or spirals out of control, it can lead to burnout

03

How can stress management and burnout recovery therapy help?

Stress and burnout therapy can help by teaching you how to manage stress triggers without overwhelming emotions taking over your mind and body. We use a combination of evidence-based therapies such as CBT and MBSR to help you respond to your thoughts, rather than react to them

02

Do I need a referral to see a therapist for stress or burnout?

You don’t need a referral to see a therapist for stress and burnout. However, if you wish to receive Medicare rebates (with eligible clinicians), you should speak to your GP about getting a Mental Health Treatment Plan

04

What's the difference between stress and burnout?

Stress is a temporary whole-body response to an internal or external stressor, such as an impending deadline or having a difficult conversation. Burnout is a prolonged state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by chronic stress
