Dr Olivia Campbell

Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology & Forensic Science), Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), PhD (Clinical Psychology), MAPS

Hello, my name is Olivia (she/her). I am a Clinical Psychologist and I help women and LGBTIQA+ people with anxiety to understand and improve their mental health and relationships.

The majority of my practice focuses on:

  • emotion regulation

  • attachment relationships

  • identity development

  • trauma

My clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, but after working together, they typically feel more self-compassionate and confident to face life's challenges.

About Me

People with Anxiety

This includes the spectrum of anxiety from mild worry to clinically significant anxiety. I consider anxiety as an umbrella term, including: stress, general anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, attachment issues, trauma responses, a part of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, and more.

Women

I work with people of all genders, but my intersectional feminist values stand out in my work. I acknowledge the mental health field is patriarchal and am sensitive and intentional in my work to empower women.

LGBTIQA+ People

I use this acronym to speak about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, Pansexual, Brotherboys and Sistergirls, Non-Binary and Gender Non-Conforming, and other identities. All of these are important, no matter where their letter falls.

Services

I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring evidence-based interventions to each unique individual. My work is informed by interpersonal neurobiology (which combines attachment theory, polyvagal theory and mindfulness principles) and procedural justice theory. I am trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neuro-affirming.
