Dr Eleanor Bailey

Bachelor of Arts (Honours), PhD (Clinical Psychology)

Hello, my name is Eleanor (she/her). I am a Clinical Psychologist and I support people through difficult periods, helping them to reconnect with what matters most.

The majority of my practice focuses on:

  • anxiety and depression

  • suicidal thoughts and self-harm

  • interpersonal difficulties

  • distress following difficult or traumatic experiences

My clients often come to therapy feeling stuck and overwhelmed, but through our work together they gain a better understanding of themselves, develop new ways of managing challenges, and reconnect with their core values.

About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience working across both public and private settings. I work with people of all ages, with a particular interest in supporting adolescents and young adults.

I work with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), trauma, substance use and eating concerns. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a post-doctoral researcher in youth suicide prevention, and I value integrating evidence-based approaches into therapy in a way that feels practical, flexible, and responsive to each individual.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I aim to create a space that feels safe and genuine, where clients can be open and feel understood, while also being willing to gently challenge unhelpful patterns and support meaningful change. I believe therapy works best when it feels human rather than clinical, and I try to bring that into the room (including moments of lightness where appropriate).

I am trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neuro-affirming.
