Dr Liz Murdoch
Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), Masters (Sport & Exercise Psychology), Masters (Professional Psychology), PhD (Sport Psychology)
Hello, my name is Liz (she/her).I am a warm and practical Psychologist (Sport & Exercise Psychology Registrar) and I enjoy helping people achieve their personal goals and find purpose in their day-to-day lives. Specifically, I work with adolescents and adults to address mental heath, wellbeing, and performance-related concerns.
The majority of my practice focuses on:
athletes (e.g., performance anxiety, building resilience, navigating transitions, identity)
anxiety and depression
stress and burnout
body image and women’s health
My clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, experiencing low motivation and a lack of purpose, but through our work together they typically feel understood and empowered to be the best version of themselves. They become more self-aware and develop skills to enhance performance and lead a more fulfilling life.

About Me
I provide a holistic, client-centred approach and create a safe space for individuals so that strategies can be developed to achieve enhanced mental health functioning, wellbeing, and optimal performance (in school, work, or in sport). Outside of work, I embrace swimming, hiking, the ocean, and catching up with good mates.
