Tom Rule
Diploma of Counselling, Bachelor of Psychological Science, Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced), Master of Professional Psychology
Hello, my name is Tom (he/him). I am a psychologist and I help people sleep better and move towards the things that matter most in their lives.
The majority of my practice focuses on:
sleep disorders/disturbance
anxiety disorders
stress
life transitions
My clients often come to therapy experiencing a broad range of sleep concerns, overwhelm, or difficulty adjusting to something new. I aim to collaboratively develop the right skills and strategies to support my clients in getting back living life in a way that feels meaningful.

About my work
I believe that our unpleasant internal experiences are often driven by the level of attachment we have with our thoughts. This, in turn, often leads us to make decisions that are misaligned with our values, perpetuating a cycle that moves us away from the life that we want to be living.
My approach is highly collaborative and non-judgemental to allow you, to move us in the directions that you feel are the most meaningful while introducing strategies that provide new ways of interpreting thoughts and developing goals that move towards the life you want to live.
We are all humans, doing our best to find our way and I consider it a privilege to be able to lend a hand when things get difficult.
I am trauma-informed, gender-affirming, neuro-affirming and culturally-inclusive.
